I made this today. Its actually leftover panel from some swaps Ive just completed today for my teams Sale A Bration swap..and rather than it go to waste I whipped up this little notepad for my handbag. 
The technique used here is called Black Magic which is a really lovely technique using whisper white ink and water colour pencils. Its traditionally done on Black cardstock but can be done on other darker cardstock as I have done. My classes will be getting this little project/technique first off at the end of the month.

love this. josh it even took me a few seconds to work out what stamp it was with the position not in the typical way that you always see it.

Love this wee notepad – kinda Japanese.
Also -well done you for setting some resolutions – I shy away from calling them that but I chose a word this year (a la Ali Edwards) CREATE – particularly relevant given my ‘lack of’ in the latter part of last year. We will see how we go!
