Soft suede ghosting

Lisa Bullock made a card the other day on her blog and as Id never done this technique before i was inspired to have a go..and especially with a new colour!! Ive tried out the other new colours of Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry but wanted to have a go with Soft Suede. All of these new colours will available to purchase in the new Autumn- winter mini catalogue ..which goes live on the 1st April.

Heres what I came up with.

Ive used Vintage vogue for my ghosting. I also sanded it back a bit to get an aged feel to it. Im keen to have a go with a sepia photo on a scrapbook page with this colour so watch this space!

Ive used the Extra Large 2 step bird punch as well as the little leaves sizzlit die which is a Stampin’ Up!  Exclusive die.  White Grosgrain ribbon, clear rhinestone brad, signo white gel pen, soft suede cardstock, ribbon and ink, large oval punch, scallop oval punch (which you can still order btw) and the ‘thinking of you’ is out of the Trendy trees stamp set…oops and of course versamark!

This card is making its way to a lovely customer of mine who is in Hospital at the moment..get well soon Shirley!

Delys this is wonderful!! I too used that stamp set on my ghosting technique but with rich razzleberry! I LOVE how yours turned out! It will be perfect for a sepia toned photo!! I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Love the bird on a branch, the whole card is just lovely!! 🙂

Delys, I love it! Like the other Bronwyn, I know little (read ‘nothing’!) about this technique, but love it – especially as you’ve teamed it with Vintage Vogue! Can you please ‘cc’ me on that e-mail? Thank you.
