10 minute challenge-Inspiration challenge SAH 121

I love Inspiration challenges! This week Carole’Anne and Sandi have challenged the DT and you all to use this picture as our inspiration.

I was very tempted to use that big poofy cushion in the middle or the one to the right of it which looked like it had birds and leaves stitched onto it ..but in the end I went for a few of the colours. Tempting tourquoise is one of my favourite colours to use  and so I teamed it up with Pretty in pink , so saffron and Kraft to come up with this card.

I used a mixture of ink pads/blender pens and markers to colour in my flowers (from Flower fancy) I cut a circle of Tempting tourquoise cardstock using the big shot and the circles #2 die and stamped it with one of the stamps from picture this (which is a Hostess level one stamp set out of the new Autumn-winter mini catalogue). I made my flower from Very Vanilla cardstock using the butterfly punch..which I wet completely and screwed up into a ball. I dried it with my heat gun.

The longest time was doing the mat packing perforations around the card and the circle. It was a close one this week but i was slightly over …cos of all that mat packing and fiddling with my bow..cannot get my bows perfect! (sigh)

Anyway had a ball with this challenge and hope you come and have a play too!

Great card, Delys. It would fit right in on the table in the inspiration picture! I love the piercing you did. Your bow looks great. I put a tutorial up on my blog yesterday about tying ribbon using a block–it helps me get good bows, maybe it will help you.

Just gorgeous Delys!! Love the layering of the flowers/pansies. And, I know what you mean about the perforating…it takes time, but the effect is worth it. Hope you’re having a lovely Mother’s Day 🙂
