Im on the road to Palmerston North tomorrow to catch up with my downline Leah for a mini extravaganza/paperific. Today I was like a mad woman trying to get everything done… cut up etc and had a class too so Im burning the midnight oil tonight..phew up again at 5am tomorrow morning so this is a quick post!
This week it was Nancy Dawsons turn for the DT to set the challenge and she set us a inspiration challenge. Heres the photo.
I didnt have a lot of time and was immediately taken with the colour scheme and the curves on the headboard…so this is what I came up with..Its a top note corset card. I cut 5 top notes out using my Big shot and then chopped three of them up. The card base is cameo coral. I just trimmed around the top note shape at the front.
The colours Ive used are naturals Ivory cardstock, Cameo coral cardstock and marker, Close to cocoa CS, Certainly celery marker and 1/4 grosgrain ribbon. I have used Laughter and Love rubons for the rest of it ..no stamping on this card! Stampin up rubons are very good quality and rubon well to anything..cardstock, acetate, glass, plastic ..you name it! They retail for $23.50 NZD. I coloured the rubons in as it was quicker than watercolouring them and I wanted that fresh clean look just like the photo.
This card took me 8 minutes to do! Well when youre in a rush ..you are in a rush! Im quite pleased how it turned out..what do you think?
