This week its a theme challenge over at Just Add Ink which is Sympathy. We all unfortunately need Sympathy cards and often its tempting to go and buy a card because you dont know what to say? Well there are poem and saying websites you can go to and copy and paste a poem onto a piece of copy paper for your insert and voila you are done. I think its really lovely to get a handmade card when you are grieving. I remember when my Dad died a few years ago ..a friend sent me a handmade card and I loved it..it felt so much more meaningful somehow?
Anyway I digress so this is the card I came up with which ended up being a bit more cheerful than I started out to do but nevermind! The stamps Ive used are sincere salutations which Ive borrowed from my downline Jenn. The other set is a set I loved when it was in a previous mini catalogue and was happy to see it in the new Idea Book and Catalogue. It is called Hello Again(pg 68). I used my stamp a majig to do the leaves and extend the stalks. The colours Ive used are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizazz, Baja Breeze and Early Expresso. The new Whisper White satin ribbon is gorgeous to use ..and I will be using metres and metres of it Im sure. Ive finished it off with a bit of bling. Righto off to cut up for my Scrapbooking class tonight..I havent quite finished the mini album either so will be putting final touches today. Have a lovely Friday!
Wow, Delys, I just love this card, its beautiful, I love the row of bling, and I love love love that butterfly on the saying, very very cute. Fabulous!!!
