Us girls at JAI have a wonderful friendship so of course we send cards for birthdays and just sometimes for no reason. This was a card I sent Patrice for her birthday !
Not the greatest of cards but was hurrying to get it off to her (was running late). This technique is called the rock salt technique lol…and looks like falling snow. I have another one Im working on so will post that this week. I also sent her some Cadbury Perky Nanas as she cant get them in OZ. I had to sample one or two and have to say Im getting fond of them too! lol
Alrighty Im off to bed ..just got back from Gisborne class (waves hi to my gorgeous bunch over there) and maybe off to Palmerston North in the morning (after milking the cows) ..cripes no rest for the wicked! Miss 15 will have to milk in the arvo instead of me hehee!
DS was supposed to go back with some of his friends but despite texting and phoning has not heard a thing. GRrr! If you own a cellphone ..answer it! I really need a long trip to Palmy tomorrow ..not!
This is so soft and dreamy Delys, love the rock salt effect, it really does look like snowflakes.

I love this card Delys and can’t believe I haven’t heard of this rock salt technique. But now I am going to find a tutorial! The effect is stunning. I bet Patrice loved this card 🙂

This looks great Delys! The colours suit it perfectly. I’ve never heard of this technique either. If you had to go to Palmy – I hope the trip went well and you had some quality time with your son.

“Not the greatest of cards” – hmpfff! This is beautiful, Delys! Fabulous technique, and the colours you’ve used look gorgeous together. Good to see you can drive through to Gisborne again (did I tell you I was born there??!). Still have lots of family and friends there; it’s a special place to me.
