Wonderful Scrapbooking weekend away

I treasure these moments…my yearly Autumn Escape Scrapbooking Retreat ..Ive been to all of these so far and I love them. A time away, being taught by some local and overseas tutors ..of which I take styles and bits and pieces from to teach my classes.

This year was the last year that Nic Howard and Lucy Vanderloos hosted this retreat..Id like to give tribute to both of them for a well run and amazing retreat. I went to four fabulous classes. Two with Paula Cheney, one with Natalie May and the last final class that Nic Howard is teaching. I will miss her teaching as she has hugely influenced how I teach. You can see her two LOs below (teenage dreams and time flies when you are having fun) and the third LO is a sketch challenge is mine (all non SU classes) The dolls and other pics are challenges and one of my team members who was there too..Actually I had 8 current and past SU team members there and so I made these  for them..These mini milkbottles are so cute arent they? (BTW they arent SU and I got them online from a daily deal site)

Ive used MDS and a free download called Bday Construction Treat of which I printed out and cut out with the Starburst framelits.  I used my fave lace doilies, Venetian Romance DSP, silver bakers twine and the lovely Organza ribbon. Here’s another photo I shared on instagram recently! (ps Ive just started with instagram and my teenage daughter is now telling me I’m reverting to being a teenager ..heck no! Id hate that lol) Inside the bottles was lots of chocolate!

The Last LO is mine but using a sketch from my friend Annelie Maddock- Crazy Monday Kits. I don’t normally share my Non SU stuff here but I wanted to today to show that even I as a teacher go to class..I think that is so important. It revives, inspires and kickstarts more mojo!

I also LOVED Paula Cheneys classes I took. One I havent finished yet with photos but this one was my fave..mini pocket pages yeehaa! Love love love it! This one has all of our daughters dancing over the past year …lots of highlights!
