As you are probably aware, Im also a dairy farmer. World wide, there is a downturn in dairy because of stockpiling and Russian sanctions. There is quite a lot of depression surfacing amongst dairy farmers at the moment and some of the communities are rallying around each other.
I like to help wherever, so Ive been making care packages for some farmers around the area..which mainly includes Chocolate!
The first one I made, I used an extra large gift box (which is retired but now on the clearance rack). The paper I used was the gorgeous English Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the stamp set I used was All Boxed Up (139340). Some White Jute ribbon (137904) and White bakers twine finished it off.
Inside, I used the Pretty Petals DSP stack (138442) and my Gift bag punch board (135862) to make a wee gift bag. I lined it with the sketched dots tag a bag gift bags (138316) and tied it with the Very Vanilla thick bakers twine (138411). The Stamp set is my new favourite (well I had to get that one didn’t I?) called Barnyard Babies (139328) of which I stamped onto water colour paper with stazon and coloured with my aquabrush. The ‘Admired, respected’ etc stamp is from The Wilderness Awaits stamp set (139365) Check out my second care package…
This time, I used a Take out box( 135827) as ran out of the large boxes. I used the same stamp sets and DSP stack for this one too.
I know they have been well received so I’m keen on making some more as I hear of someone needing a little pick me up in their lives… in the mud, full on with calving and despite the plunging payout to farmers losing 60% of their income (or more)…All cant be made better with Chocolate but it sure gives you that boost and the thought that others do care about you!
Laters!
This is such a lovely idea Delys! The packages are bright and happy and the tags and card just can’t help make you smile. Those animals are so cute and beautifully coloured! xxx
