A Kiwi Christmas Class

Recently, I held a Kiwi Christmas Class for my local ladies and one of the cards I did for my monthly Delinkquent Team training.

I love to use a stamp set/die another way and this is what Ive come up with. First off..A Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) is only available in New Zealand/Australia (and only available until 3rd January). img_6397-001A Jandal (nz)/flip flop or thong card…I CASED my own design from a few years back …see that here. The Paper I used is the Warmth and Cheer DSP stack (141991)

Then I started playing with Halloween Scenes Edgelit dies..again! Here’s what I came up with… a Pohutukawa tree Christmas card. I’ve also used the Jolly Friends Stamp set (142112) and matching punch (141847-for the red flowers on the tree), Barnyard Babies Stamp set (139328) and the Seasonal Decorative Masks (141848) for this card. I also sponge brayered the sky. The  sentiment is from the Santas Sleigh Stamp set (142057)img_6441-001

My last project in the class was a bucket/pail for the beach with an attached spade/shovel. I used the Popcorn Box Thinlits (141473) …cut down to 2 inches and the Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) to make this project. The spade was made by the Tags and Labels Framelits (138282) and 3/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches. Sentiments -Teeny Tiny Sentiments (120024) and Merriest Wishes (142006)img_6404-001

We sure had fun and had lots of laughs creating these projects and if you’re in the Tauranga/Te Puke area of New Zealand. Contact me if you would like to come to any of my classes. I  have lots of Christmas themed classes coming up. Just email me!

This month the Memory Keeping with Project Life SU design team have a theme which is “A Day in the Life!”

I’ve been itching to use my new kit All Year Long, particularly because we have just finished our busiest time of year on farm (calving time).

The days sure go pretty quick! My sanity saver is having 15 mins to craft on those busy days and sometimes a nap is more important but its like my little treat!

The housework can wait!

Here are my pages. Very unflattering photos but hey ..waking up at 4.30am is not the time to take a selfie!

Thank goodness for my slow cooker..its my one kitchen appliance I rely on all year round but especially in Winter and Spring.
