This months Technique to try blog hop is using the Chalkboard Technique!
I havent done this technique for well over a year so was lovely to play again using this easy technique.
So what is the Chalkboard Technique?
Its when you stamp onto black cardstock in Whisper White craft ink (or emboss with white embossing powder) and then using a sponge, Sponge around over with Whisper White craft ink.
Here’s my card using the Homemade Kindness Stamp set from our just released Holiday Catalogue.
I had a bit of a giggle when Id finished this card as it looks like the cook has been burning the dinner!
Now after this I thought I would go one step more and colour some of the image in with my water colour pencils. This is a variation on this technique and is also called the Black Magic technique.

Great job showcasing this technique – I love the chalk line around the outside edge, it perfectly frames the images and finishes it off so well!

Love your sense of humour Delys – the card is great. And dare I say “great minds think alike” with the colour step up.

Great card! And one of the stamp sets in the new catty I can’t decide if I’ll need it or not. 🙂 It makes it easier when I see cards I like… like yours…
