Creating up a Storm!

Fist pump..YES! .. After Christmas, I’ve had some time to create with some new goodies from the Occasions Catalogue and Saleabration Catalogue ..which go live on the 4th January!

Here’s what I’ve been making…

display-stamper-projects-2017

First up is actually a White gift box from our Holiday Catalogue (142000) which is returning for this catalogue..which is just as well as had only used one of them for my Christmas markets. I am doing a few markets now and often get asked for masculine/boy boxes etc ..so I came up with this ..a rubik cube!

So pleased how this turned out!  I haven’t worked out what I’m putting in this box yet ..got any ideas for me?

img_6820-001

Next up ..another 3D project and using the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Paper stack, Pyramid Pals and the Popcorn box Thinlits.

My little Circus tent!

I absolutely adore this 6×6 Paper stack and is my sort of colours I love to covet in my stash hehehe..

I’ve filled the top with fairy/candy floss and the bottom with gobstopper lollies/candy. I get to eat the rest ..or make some more circus tents..

I’ve used the coordinating embellishment kit on this item and some of the following creations. All I need is some circus animals!

A scrapbook Layout I made…I just love the Lace Doilies and have used up all 24 in the pack already and I’ve ordered 2 more packs!

I am busy making a project for my Sister for her Birthday (which has passed BTW but she understands lol) and I’m using ALL of the Urban Underground Specialty DSP ..but had some scraps leftover …

This LO is a tribute to George Michael with the title but it was so apt with what our daughter was going through at that age….girls and boys can be vicious these days and it was a learning curve for us all to deal with the negative. I’ve recycled a SU backing board for the background for this LO as just love the texture. I plan on teaching this as a class but using Kraft 12 x 12 instead.

The tassel tag pulls down to show the journalling.

img_6840-001

As you can see, I’ve sponged with whisper white craft ink over my doilies to achieve that look.

This carried onto a card I made ..

img_6825-001

Not sure if I want to have a sentiment for this card.  I started with a piece of Cupcakes and Carousels paper and altered it using different ink colours and finally Bermuda Bay ink and Whisper White Craft ink with the doilies as a stencil. This is part of a new technique class I’m setting up in Te Puke this year. Contact me if you’d like to know more?

Another technique card using Crumb Cake, Whisper White craft ink and the Beautiful You stamp set. I love this set!  I needed a few of these cards this week unfortunately  so these were simple..but love this sentiment too. This set is very versatile I reckon?

img_6830-001img_6828-001

My final card is another simple one ..and again using white craft ink.

Its using Lift Me Up stamp set..which I think is very versatile too!

I used water colour pencils with this one!  So happy that we have watercolour pencils back in this new catalogue..so easy to use!

These projects are for my entry to be a display stamper at Onstage in Auckland (A Stampin’ Up! event) this year. I was lucky enough to be picked last April and loved the experience.

Hope you enjoyed my little play! Now off to finish my Sisters Gift.

ESAD Holiday Catalogue Favourite Products Blog Hop

esad-favourites

Hi and welcome to a wonderful blog hop from our ESAD facebook group. You are in for a treat as we showcase our favourite items from the Holiday Catalogue. You may have just come from my friend Leonie Schroeders blog, or starting here. There is a full list at the end of my post.

esad-information

My Favourite items? Well there are many in this catalogue but I’ve decided just to pick one stamp set…The Jolly Friends stamp set and I picked it, because, it had a punch with it and I  could make other things with it non Christmas (Check my blog below for other cards Ive done) Today Im going whole hog Christmas …

jolly-friends

My first project is one I’ve done for some Christmas markets locally and also for my monthly team get together in the sunny Bay Of Plenty in New Zealand. 8 tags (all the same). I used Whisper White and coloured in the beard with a blender pen. I stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and they were all decorated up with the Tiny Treat Boxes. I love these! Just make sure you take the protective coating off the boxes.

The next project was simply just for a market. I found some Santa Italian chocolates at my local supermarket and hey quick and was easy to do and kids just adored them! I used the mica flakes on the hat and the cute bells on them too.

img_6596-001

This inspired a card which I did in addition to my card class this week ….and in similar style. An Easel card using the new Stitched Shapes Framelits These framelits are currently on back order as they have been so popular! They will be going into the next Annual Catalogue but once the next shipment arrives you can order these.

img_6600-001IMG_6594-002.JPG

My next project is a stamp a stack card…I altered the sentiment from the Merry Mice Stamp set for this.(moose instead of mouse)  My stamp a stacks are designed to make 20 cards in a few hours …4 of each design. I decided not to put the trim on the hat to make it a bit quicker but having second thoughts on that so will be stamping and punching the trims for my own Christmas cards.

img_6595-001Finally, my last project is a candy cane I’m selling at my Christmas markets. My card class ladies were lucky enough to score one too!

So I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I would love comments!

A Kiwi Christmas Class

Recently, I held a Kiwi Christmas Class for my local ladies and one of the cards I did for my monthly Delinkquent Team training.

I love to use a stamp set/die another way and this is what Ive come up with. First off..A Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) is only available in New Zealand/Australia (and only available until 3rd January). img_6397-001A Jandal (nz)/flip flop or thong card…I CASED my own design from a few years back …see that here. The Paper I used is the Warmth and Cheer DSP stack (141991)

Then I started playing with Halloween Scenes Edgelit dies..again! Here’s what I came up with… a Pohutukawa tree Christmas card. I’ve also used the Jolly Friends Stamp set (142112) and matching punch (141847-for the red flowers on the tree), Barnyard Babies Stamp set (139328) and the Seasonal Decorative Masks (141848) for this card. I also sponge brayered the sky. The  sentiment is from the Santas Sleigh Stamp set (142057)img_6441-001

My last project in the class was a bucket/pail for the beach with an attached spade/shovel. I used the Popcorn Box Thinlits (141473) …cut down to 2 inches and the Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) to make this project. The spade was made by the Tags and Labels Framelits (138282) and 3/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches. Sentiments -Teeny Tiny Sentiments (120024) and Merriest Wishes (142006)img_6404-001

We sure had fun and had lots of laughs creating these projects and if you’re in the Tauranga/Te Puke area of New Zealand. Contact me if you would like to come to any of my classes. I  have lots of Christmas themed classes coming up. Just email me!

Gearing up for the Festive Markets!

I have a fortnightly market I do which keeps me busy!

Ive really just started doing some more festive items to add to my table and found some adorable Popcorn Frankenstein boxes courtesy of Teri French and decided to CASE them.

Here are my versions of Mr and Mrs Frankenstein!

img_6309-001img_6308-001

Fun or what?

While I was on a CASE melarky..I also found some Telephone Boxes, dog houses and windmills to try using the Home Suite Home Thinlits. Clever ladies coming up with these ideas!

I’ve also done some fridge magnet post it note holders for the Christmas rush, some notebooks and lots of novelty items. Hope they go down a treat!

New Holiday Catalogue playtime!

Hi there…I’ve been rather busy on farm but ..my pre order for our new Holiday Catalogue (goes live 1st September) arrived ..and yesterday I had some time to play!

This is my first outing of this gorgeous bundle ..The Home Sweet Home bundle which includes a stamp set and matching thinlits.

IMG_6112-002This cute wee box will be perfect for some chocolate or lollies or even stuffed with money!  The tree and fence are part of another die set ..which is actually a Halloween bundle but me being me wanted it for the fence and tree! Hehehe (Halloween Scenes Edgelit dies)

IMG_6111-002IMG_6109-002

The flowers are from the tree builder punch (with the Blooms and Bliss DSP)   and I also used the Brick Wall Embossing folder on the house too. ( I cut four diecuts out and cut and embossed the panels I needed on 2 of them. These then got adhered to the base diecuts.

I cant wait to make more of these little houses ..they might become quite addictive lol

Display Stamper Day 6

I’m back from my scrapbooking weekend ..oh the mojo reappeared yay!

Today I’m showcasing an existing In Color and Ive heard that some think this is a challenging colour but… I actually like it!

I’m talking about Delightful Dijon!

Here’s what I came up with for my display for Onstage in Auckland, New Zealand last week!

First off is my Pyramid Pals Beehive using ‘Pun Intended’. I cut two of these and then cut the second into strips for the ‘wooden paneling’.

I used 3 circle punches for the hive entrance.

IMG_4636-001IMG_4637-001

The Second project is a card using Pun Intended, The In Color Paper stack, silver ribbon and foil and the honey comb is from ‘Butterfly Basics’ stamp set. This card has LOTS of layers…

Okay thats it for Delightful Dijon and tomorrow,  I’m showcasing a new In Color so hope you come and visit!

JAI #303 Just Add E

Oh dearie me ..I’ve just realised it’s time for a blog post for Just Add Ink..and here I thought it was Thursday and not Friday!

So sorry for the late post!

This week at Just Add Ink our challenge from Tina is to Just Add E!

Of course with Easter coming up, I immediately thought of Easter.

Here’s what I came up with ..

IMG_4426-001.JPG

My little chupa chup bunny is using Friends and Flowers Stamp set (OC) and matching punches. I also used the wide oval and large oval punches and also the 7/8 scallop punch. (which you cant quite see as its on the bottom to make the bunny stand upright and also for the bunnys’ tail). The bow tie is from the Playful Pals Bundle. I used my aquabrush and Sahara Sand ink to colour my bunny!

Here’s my wicked sense of humour with this photo…attack of the bunnies on my poor we Bunny. IMG_4429-001

Do check out what the other girls have done this week on the Just Add Ink Design Team here and I hope you play along with us this week!
