Hi and welcome to a wonderful blog hop from our ESAD facebook group. You are in for a treat as we showcase our favourite items from the Holiday Catalogue. You may have just come from my friend Leonie Schroeders blog, or starting here. There is a full list at the end of my post.
My Favourite items? Well there are many in this catalogue but I’ve decided just to pick one stamp set…The Jolly Friends stamp set and I picked it, because, it had a punch with it and I could make other things with it non Christmas (Check my blog below for other cards Ive done) Today Im going whole hog Christmas …
My first project is one I’ve done for some Christmas markets locally and also for my monthly team get together in the sunny Bay Of Plenty in New Zealand. 8 tags (all the same). I used Whisper White and coloured in the beard with a blender pen. I stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and they were all decorated up with the Tiny Treat Boxes. I love these! Just make sure you take the protective coating off the boxes.
The next project was simply just for a market. I found some Santa Italian chocolates at my local supermarket and hey quick and was easy to do and kids just adored them! I used the mica flakes on the hat and the cute bells on them too.
This inspired a card which I did in addition to my card class this week ….and in similar style. An Easel card using the new Stitched Shapes Framelits These framelits are currently on back order as they have been so popular! They will be going into the next Annual Catalogue but once the next shipment arrives you can order these.
My next project is a stamp a stack card…I altered the sentiment from the Merry Mice Stamp set for this.(moose instead of mouse) My stamp a stacks are designed to make 20 cards in a few hours …4 of each design. I decided not to put the trim on the hat to make it a bit quicker but having second thoughts on that so will be stamping and punching the trims for my own Christmas cards.
Finally, my last project is a candy cane I’m selling at my Christmas markets. My card class ladies were lucky enough to score one too!
So I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I would love comments!

Recently, I held a Kiwi Christmas Class for my local ladies and one of the cards I did for my monthly Delinkquent Team training.
I love to use a stamp set/die another way and this is what Ive come up with. First off..A Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) is only available in New Zealand/Australia (and only available until 3rd January). A Jandal (nz)/flip flop or thong card…I CASED my own design from a few years back …see that here. The Paper I used is the Warmth and Cheer DSP stack (141991)
Then I started playing with Halloween Scenes Edgelit dies..again! Here’s what I came up with… a Pohutukawa tree Christmas card. I’ve also used the Jolly Friends Stamp set (142112) and matching punch (141847-for the red flowers on the tree), Barnyard Babies Stamp set (139328) and the Seasonal Decorative Masks (141848) for this card. I also sponge brayered the sky. The sentiment is from the Santas Sleigh Stamp set (142057)
My last project in the class was a bucket/pail for the beach with an attached spade/shovel. I used the Popcorn Box Thinlits (141473) …cut down to 2 inches and the Day at the Beach stamp set (142261) to make this project. The spade was made by the Tags and Labels Framelits (138282) and 3/4″ and 1/2″ circle punches. Sentiments -Teeny Tiny Sentiments (120024) and Merriest Wishes (142006)
We sure had fun and had lots of laughs creating these projects and if you’re in the Tauranga/Te Puke area of New Zealand. Contact me if you would like to come to any of my classes. I have lots of Christmas themed classes coming up. Just email me!
I have a fortnightly market I do which keeps me busy!
Ive really just started doing some more festive items to add to my table and found some adorable Popcorn Frankenstein boxes courtesy of Teri French and decided to CASE them.
Here are my versions of Mr and Mrs Frankenstein!
Fun or what?
While I was on a CASE melarky..I also found some Telephone Boxes, dog houses and windmills to try using the Home Suite Home Thinlits. Clever ladies coming up with these ideas!
I’ve also done some fridge magnet post it note holders for the Christmas rush, some notebooks and lots of novelty items. Hope they go down a treat!
This week at Just Add Ink we have an inspiration challenge ..perfect for those non traditional Christmas cards ..but you can use anything from this photo as your inspiration.
I’ve been struggling all week with my mojo..hate it when it disappears! This is what I eventually came up with…
Simple but effective I thought? lots of bling on this one!
I embossed! I don’t know about you, but I go through fads of what I use and I cant remember the last time I embossed something! hehehe.
The little star is from the confetti border star punch.
Thanks for looking and I hope you play along with us at JAI this week. DO check out what the other girls on the Design Team have done here.
Have a great weekend!
I came across this star box you tube tutorial by Amanda Fowler and thought it was awesome!
So here’s what I did using the Gift Bag Punch Board and the
Season of Cheer Designer Paper (139590)
The Stamp set Ive used is a Hostess stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue -Antique Tags (140494) and I also used the Snowflake Elements (139638) and the gorgeous Real Red Pom Pom trim (139617)
Such a quick and easy box to make!
Thanks Amanda for the tutorial.
Yesterday, I started my Kraft series of posts. Scroll on down for that card.
Kraft cardstock has to be one of my most favourites of our Cardstock because it just goes with every other colour!
Today I made a couple of projects but Ill show you the second project tomorrow.
I’m making these tags for a market I have coming up so I thought Id better get my skates on and start making things for it!
I used Seasonal Snapshot Project Life cards (13951) for these. I popped all three into a Mini treat Bag (137547) I made using a window sheet (114323).
Here’s a collage of the tags..
Heres what else I used on these projects.
Annual Catalogue- Metallic foil doilies (138392), Tree punch (135859), Corrugated paper (138317), Silver glimmer paper (135314), Silver foil (132178), Dimensionals, Dazzling Details- Silver sparkle (127845)
Holiday Catalogue- Silver cording trim (139620), Delicate Ornament Die (139667), Precision plate (139684), Christmas Greetings thinlits (139659), Oh What fun stamp set (140386)
Wow two posts in one day..yay its Friday!
Anyway this week at Just Add Ink our challenge is to Just Add Glimmer
When I saw the Cutie Pie Thinlits (138273) in the Annual Catalogue, I just had to get it to make these…Ive been faithfully making these treat boxes for my Christmas tree for oh about 10 years now!
I cut this out of Red (121790)and Silver (135314) Glimmer Paper. I also used a window sheet (114323) for the inside and filled it with red chocolate balls (yum)!
Using my favourite items from the Holiday Catalogue of course. The Silver Cording Trim (139620), Christmas Greetings Thinlit dies (139659), Oh What Fun Stamp set (140386) and Winter Wonderland Embellishments (139621)
Our glimmer paper is pure quality and Ive found no cracking on any of the edges of this box!
So this blingy box is waiting for my Christmas tree to go up..so I just might have to eat the Chocolate balls as surely they will go off before then ..right? Hehehe
Do check out what the other girls on the Design Team have done here and hope you can play along with us this week!
