My project today is using the cute new mini pizza boxes (144645 pg 44), the matching 3×3 envelopes (145219), the Treat Tubes and re purposing  the Be Merry Kit (144648 pg 32)..which is something I love to do.

I love kits as its all cut up/prepped for you to just create.

This kit makes 12 rosettes but I used some of the embellishments  to make some mini albums..

I have my Christmas markets coming up so I thought a few of these might go down well..all they need is some 3×3 photos of family and I thought would make a lovely gift for Grandma/Auntie or Mum?

But I have used the rosettes too ..they will decorate my mini Christmas tree and will sell them off individually. They also have the cute as Treat Tubes attached to the back (144612 pg 53).

IMG_8047IMG_8048 (1)

I’ll fill these  later as the Christmas treats appear in our shops (But in reality…so I don’t  get the munchies and raid the treat tubes! haha)

You could buy two of these kits and there you have an advent calendar!

Other Products I used are;

Quilted Christmas stack (144617 pg 5), Merry Little Christmas DSP (144621 pg 10) and the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP (144640 pg37), Year of Cheer embellishments (144643), YoC Washi Tape (144644), Foil snowflakes (144642), Quilted Christmas Ribbon (144620 pg 5), Trim your Stocking thinlits (144682 pg 15), Half Full stamp set (144999 pg 42), Oh what fun stamp set (140386 pg 115 AC)

So thanks for looking and Id love some comments!

Display Stamper Day 7

I havent posted recently as we have had bad news with my Daughters best friend in critical condition in Acute Care at Waikato Hospital. She currently in an induced coma and we are all praying for her to recover. Its all a bit shocking for us all. Em is like my second daughter and we have known her from the age of 3.

I’m trying to keep busy and have washed all of my windows and I’m about to head to my craft room to make a cheerful card for her to wake up to.

Here is the new In Color samples I am showing you today…Sweet Sugarplum.

First off a CAS card using Pun Intended.

Another 3D item here with a little mini book. I used Shannon Wests #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp! This stamp set is Shannons Campaign to make and send a hand stamped card. These retail for $25 NZD and you can order these at anytime. Ive sent a few of these myself! This mini book was an idea to keep in my handbag so that I knew what birthdays were coming up..

I love making these wee mini albums and they are so easy to make!

  • Fold your piece of 12×12 DSP in half. Crease all folds with your bone folder. Open flat again with fold line horizontal.
  • Fold both horizontal edges in approximately 2 inches. You can measure this but it is not important. Make sure both edges are even.
  • Fold vertically in half.
  • Fold outside vertical edges into the centre fold making sure all edges are straight.
  • Unfold and cut up horizontal fold to the third quarter fold line.
  • Adhere last quarter folds to each other.
  • Adhere outside edges with thin double sided tape to create the pockets.
  • Concertina the paper to make your mini album.
  • Adhere back of mini album to form book form and to create spines.
  • Adhere ribbon to paper.
  • Measure your mini album, cut and score a piece of CS 1/2 inch taller and wider, leave a 1/2 inch – 3/4 inch width spine and cut remaining side (should be same size as first panel.
  • Adhere to the outside of the mini album. Do not put glue/tape on the spine.
  • Embellish tags with stamps, photos or journalling. Tags are 3 ½ x 2 ¼ inches.

Tomorrow I’ll be back with another episode!

Happy Haunting DSP Series- mini album

Our Daughter is at university and is just about to complete her first year of a Dance Studies Degree.

So I thought Id do a wee mini album each year for her to put some photos and get the low down on her daily routine.

Here’s what I came up with.

I love to make up mini albums as I go and add in pockets and interactive flaps.IMG_2908

This one includes the use of window sheets..something I haven’t used on my mini albums for years!

Our Daughter has an instax printer for use with her phone so she can just pop those photos in, a bit of journalling and its all done!

IMG_2910 IMG_2912 IMG_2913  IMG_2919

I left the last page blank as I thought she could get all of her 30 classmates to sign it..but thats up to her!

Stamps I used were PL Happy Times. I also used some washi tape and stickers from the Seasonal Snapshot Collection, Circles Collection framelits, Little Letters Thinlits, PL corner rounder and Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine.

After editing these photos, I realised I didn’t have a date on it anywhere so stamped the date using PL Day to Day.

Hope you enjoyed my week using Happy Haunting DSP and check back tomorrow for a new theme!

Have a great weekend!

ESAD Info Holiday 2015

So yesterday was my wider team all team training. 33 swaps needed!

I do this everytime..come up with a swap that is time consuming!

I watercoloured the poinsettia from the Reason for the Season stamp set (139730).  and fussy cut them out that took awhile to do (since taking the photos I added some gold dazzling detail to the centre as well!)

I cut out 33 Merry Christmas Greeting Thinlits (139659)…thank goodness I also purchased the Precision plate (139684) ..which helped cut these out beautifully! I teamed it up with Kraft Cardstock, Corrugated paper, tea lace doilies, White Jute ribbon  and the new Gold cording trim (139618). Theres a fair few Dimensionals on this card just saying!

I finished off the inside with some Basic Black (140931) stamping. This new Archival ink is a winner for me love love it!

But wait..I had all these bits leftover so I made a few more items with these stamps, ink and paper..

I made a tag and used the new cute Reindeer clips (139643), metallic doily and used Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set (139882). The new Real Red Pom pom trim (139617) is just gorgeous

Then popped some of our NZ All Black chocolate (by Whittakers) into a Sketched Dot Gift Bag (138316)

And then finished up making a little wee mini album using a 6×9″ piece of Seas0n of Cheer Designer Series Paper (139590)

IMG_2517IMG_2518IMG_2519I added a pocket in one of the folds and stamped it with Joy. If I do this wee album again Id probably add more little pockets.

Phew ..youve made it to the end..Thanks for visiting my blog and now of we go to the incredibly talented Jessica Williams to see what shes come up with!

Creative Inkers Retiring Products Blog Hop

Two posts in one day!

As part of the Creative Inkers Team, we are doing a blog hop on our fave retiring products in a showcase!

I decided to showcase these Envelope Gift Card enclosures. These are now 40% off on the retired list and are $7.17NZD for a pack of 10. 136662G  So I thought Id make this into a cute wee mini album for our Daughter. She misses her cat while away at university!IMG_2005-003 IMG_2006-003 IMG_2007-003So how I did this was ..

1. Score 1/2 cm on all four sides. (On the inside of the previously scored lines). I actually just used my paper trimmer to do this but you could use your scoreboard.

2. Cut out the corners

3. Cut a strip of paper (I used Lullaby 133695) 8 cm wide. Score at every 8cms

4. Ink edges with black pen or ink pad.

5. Adhere the last scored panel (which wont be 8x8cm) to the bottom of the gift card enclosure.

6. My mats were 7cm square Lullaby DSP and the cover I used 7cm square Whisper White and 6.5cm square Lullaby DSP. I also cut mats for the underside of the enclosure card (not seen here) and that was 8.8cm square WW and 8.5cm square Lullaby DSP.

7. My photos were 6.5 cm squares except the front cover which was 6cm square.

8. The stamp set I used was And Many More (134276). Leftover cardstock and paper was used for stamping and punching. The label bracket punch was for the front enclosure.

Check out what I also did with these Gift Card Enclosures at Christmas time ..IMG_7178-001

So there you go, hope you enjoyed my wee mini album and please check out my other team mates on this blog hop below.

Hip Hip Hooray Mini Album!

I’m sure there are others who have come up with this idea but I thought the Hip Hip Hooray kit as pictured stampin-up-hhip-hip-hooray-kit-1..would make a fab mini album! I had a couple of hours to spare on Saturday so this mini album took me 2 hours from woah to go!

Something, I probably couldn’t achieve if I made everything from scratch. This envelope album is quick to do and whats better is that I’m giving you a free tutorial to make it…read on!

IMG_6601-001 IMG_6603-001 IMG_6604-001

All of the supplies I used were in this card kit (which retails for $38.95 in NZ…you can order one from me today!) You could possibly get 3 mini albums out of this kit. I used a few extra things in the decorating eg brads and tools.

Heres a collage of the insides.

JAI #200 Inspiration Challenge…WOW!

Wow.. its Just Add Inks #200 challenge and what a milestone. I’m proud to have been involved from the beginning!

Recently we also had our 500th liker on our facebook page and our 800th blog follower. They both have got RAKs from Trish and Myself and the next hundred ..we will do the same, so like and follow JAI and you might win!

So this week its an inspiration photo for our 200th challenge. This photo could be in my backyard or reminds me of our farm any day actually! The lovely Nikki Spencer has come up with this gorgeous pic.

PicMonkeyCollage4I was intent on using the new Springtime Hello stamp set in our new Occasions Catalogue for this challenge and came up with a tag for a box I made for a RAK I am giving out from my Business Facebook Page. I used Summer starfruit, white, wild wasabi and black for my inspiration.

IMG_6284-001…inside is a mini album but not in these colours ..wanna see?

okay here it is ..the RAK recipient can add their photos as desired.

I love to make my own mini albums and will be adding this to my free tutorials at some stage (just have to find the blasted video camera lol)

So hope you come and play with our 200th Challenge this week at Just Add Ink. Check out what the other Design Team have done here!
