This month the Memory Keeping with Stampin’ Up! Project Life Design Team are thinking a bit out of the box and we decided to use any kit with gold or silver.

Well you know my favourite kit is Moments Like These..which actually has quite a few elements of gold in the card collection and the accessory collection, but, I decided to make a lot of my embellishments for this page using some gold foil.

Here’s my page ..

IMG_4348-002.JPG

Each of my cards, I used a little gold. The alphabet stickers I used for the title are from the Moments like these accessory kit but all the others ie cheers and you & me are using the Greetings thinlits, Hello you thinlits, Little Numbers thinlits and the Cutie pie thinlits.

I used a gold Wink of Stella for the dreamers card. I just coloured in some of the words and also used it to colour in the stars and the chipboard (‘today’). Finally, I added some gold sequins and a paperclip (accessories collection). I cut out a circle using the gold foil sheet and used those on a couple of cards to fill in some unnecessarily space too.

If you are on facebook, do check out our Memory Keeping with Stampin’ Up! Project life page for more ideas.

In the meantime..check out the other Design Team Members below and see what they came up with using Gold and/or Silver as their focus.

JAI #301 Just Add Numbers

Hi and this week at Just Add Ink, Nikki has challenged us to ‘Just Add Numbers.

Here’s what I came up with for our Daughters birthday in 10 days time (I’m totally amazed I’m so organised this year!)IMG_4313-001

I used the Large Numbers framelits (OC) and the matching stamp set Number of Years for this card. I love the font on this Stamp set!

IMG_4314-001

Here’s the inside.. I used Cottage Greetings (AC) for the sentiment and cut the 19 using The Go Wild DSP.

The Memory Keeping Project Life Stampin’ Up! team are using the Sale a Bration Memories in the Making PL Specialty Card collection as their focus for this months blog share.

I teamed mine up with the Memories in the Making Collection and Accessory kit! So clever for SU to make everything match …one of Stampin’ Up! appeal to most crafters don’t you think?

One the last pages I’ve done for our Sons 21st…glad to be finished! I also used a gold wink of stella brush on the star and camera…love this brush! All three bottom pockets use the SAB overlays…they are gorgeous!

Welcome to Caroline van der Straaten, our new Design Team Member. Happy to have her join us! She even made us a fancy badge too!

Heres the rest of the Design Teams blogs…

JAI #294 Just Add Something New!

RosePolkaPaper2b

At Just Add Ink we always like to start the year off with a blog hop to showcase the first challenge of the year.

This year Rochelle has suggested we all “Just Add Something New”. Now I know that won’t be hard for the Stampin Up! demonstrators out there as the new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration promotions have started! If you don’t have anything new from SU! please join us using whatever new product you have and be sure to let us know what it is.

To make the blog hop extra special the design team have donated new SU! SAB items as prizes to the winner and two honorable mentions participants. Please note, to be eligible, you must create a “NEW” project using “SOMETHING NEW TO YOU” and leave a comment on all the design team blogs, be or become a JAI follower and blog your project exclusively linked to Just Add Ink. Any entrants that link to additional challenges will be disqualified. (The prizes are open to both international and AUS/NZ participants).

We look forward to kicking the year off with a celebration of new crafty goodness and inspiration and hope you will join the challenge with us.

You can begin the blog hop here on my blog or at any of the other design team members blog posts. Just follow the hop by clicking on the back or previous buttons you will find at the bottom of all the design team posts. Or you can start Here at the beginning.

Just Add Something New…hmm what do I have that’s new?

Well I have LOTS new because of the Occasions Mini Catalogue which is now live! This new catalogue is a winner. Every catalogue I say that but each new one just gets better and better!

I’ve been flat out making stuff for an upcoming market and my favourite thing in the catalogue ..well there is heaps. but the Pyramid Pals got the nod for me …Here’s a few pals I came up with (some Cased from the catalogue)

IMG_3770-001

I’m pleased how the dogs, crab and Kiwis turned out! I’ve got so many ideas running around in my head with this die and just adore it!

I’ve been struggling all week with my mojo..hate it when it disappears! This is what I eventually came up with…

IMG_3550-002IMG_3552-002IMG_3553-002

Simple but effective I thought? lots of bling on this one!

I embossed! I don’t know about you, but I go through fads of what I use and I cant remember the last time I embossed something!  hehehe.

The little star is from the confetti border star punch.

Thanks for looking and I hope you play along with us at JAI this week. DO check out what the other girls on the Design Team have done here.

Have a great weekend!
